Dec 30, 2016 at 9:51am It has also been brought to my attention that the early pics. are pretty vague unless you know exactly what you are looking at... 100% understood! For those who don't understand what's being portrayed here, we'll try to clarify a bit.
Below is a WWI Mercedes D.III aircraft engine kit. This engine is the basic example for the customized engine Tom Daniel used in the Red Baron kit.
The next picture is this kit engine below the 1/24 scale Red Baron engine, Minus the trumpeting exhaust.
Last but not least is the 1/8 scale version I am working on shown with the other two. I only have one of the cylinders done, but with a little computer help, I can show it with all six. I hope this helps to show where this project is going.

Jan 1, 2017 at 10:25pm Moving right along... No photo shop this time guys. These cylinders are not perfect, or cleaned up, but they are the first 6 out of the mold. Every new mold has it's own characteristics... You have to learn what makes it tic, and how to get the best possible parts out of it. I believe I have this one figured out. Back to work tomorrow, but we should have 6 perfect cylinders to work with soon! Enjoy!!!
