Jan 2, 2017 at 8:11pm Oh how the right tires seal the deal! I wish I had the magic for this one brothers, but for now, I do not. This is a front tire from a newer issue Big Deuce, and a piece of paper I printed the Tom Daniel tread on. I'm contemplating casting the tire, and tuning the tread off. Then having a new tread 3-D printed, and I could graft it to the tire, and recast. no matter what this build is nothing without the right tires!

Jan 8, 2017 at 7:29pm Ok, Back to the engine... We got all 12 spark plugs installed, and we have the wiring started on one side. Seeing that this is a WW1 engine, I chose no to use spark plug boots. just my call... Other opinions welcome.

Jan 13, 2017 at 6:49pm Ok, I'm going to be making molds for most of the Baron parts, Just in case someone else might like to build one. I got the frame rail in silicone this morning. I decided to cast it without motor mounts, etc. Adding the details later will allow for minor adjustments, and miscalculations. Hope you like!

Jan 14, 2017 at 3:08pm Jumping back to the RB front tires. I got the tread pealed off, and the center cut out. Sending measurements for the tread to the 3-D printer today, and this baby is ready for silicone again! Thanks for looking!
Update: Tread has been ordered from the 3-D printer!

Jan 19, 2017 at 8:12pm This may look like nothing, but it is the first step in a vision... The vision of the Red Baron's Header. Those magnificent trumpets have to have a starting point, and this is it. This is a mold for a 1/2" x 4" rod. The rod will be turned down into a strait version of 1 exhaust pipe. The 1 pipe will then have a mold made of it. I will insert a 3/32" copper rod into the mold, and pour the resin around it. When the resin has set up 95%, I will pull the pipe from the mold and shape in the curves. The curved pipe, will then be molded and recast 6 times to recreate the header. It looks like nothing now, But then again, This whole project has been built from nothing!

Jan 20, 2017 at 7:24am 1st picture is the empty mold. The 2nd picture is the resin cast 1/2" rod with a stainless steel 3/32" rod down the middle. 3rd picture is the 1/2" casting all ready to be turned down into a single strait horn, or 1/6 of the header.
